"Brook was winning till the Eye Injury" is the new "Vitali was winning till the cut"

Brook was down on the cards anyway

 

Eye socket broke or not brook was getting stopped

 

Lennox was tired, but a lot of people forget that when Vitali made his way back to the corner for the last time, he'd just been caught by another thunderous uppercut, the 2nd time in the round, and he looked disorientated (and tired) to me, he couldn't actually walk in a straight line back to his corner, which may have played some part in the doctor's decision, then when the fight was called off, Vitali didn't even realise it had been called off for at least 20-30 seconds despite half of Las Vegas being in the ring by this point.

Then when he realised the fight had been stopped, he did what all boxers do when they've just been beaten senseless... he started protesting!

The truth is, no one knows for sure what would have happened.

Was Vitali winning? Sure, he was 2 rounds up (4-2 I think), despite looking like he had been dragged through a hedge by Edward Scissorhands, but for me, the fight was still in the balance, both guys looked tired at this stage.

But it doesn't really matter anyway, we can talk about the 'what ifs' all day long but if I see 2 guys having a brawl on the street, and one guy ends up leaving in an ambulance needing emergency treatment and 170 stitches (or a broken eye socket), you've kinda lost the fight at this point.

Vitali was getting smashed though and Lennox would've won that fight easily, Vitali bottled it.

Think Brook would probably have won, though it'd have been a closer fight than the Lewis.Klitschko one. Kell was definitely the better boxer pre-injury.

 

Brook lost to Spence in a high level match up

Adam Booth summed it up, it was boxing at the top level at its most competitive, with most round going back and forth during the 3 mins and very hard to score

No shame in Brook losing that fight, it wasn't like he was exposed or dominated

There have not been many match ups like that in recent years where two top guys faced each other, and the fight proved that they were both top level

 

I'm not even discussing the Lennox/Vitali fight anymore.

Kell Brook won the early rounds and Spence slowly but surely
turned the tide and beat him to the head and body. The eye
didn't help Kell but he had started taking a lot of punishment.
He was being hurt. The eye contributed but it was not the sole
reason for the loss. I know a lot of guys thought Kell would win
(I did as well), Spence worked like a horse for that victory.

 

Charr was was screaming for an immediate rematch after that fight was prematurely stopped.. Why didn't he get one?

I disagree Lenox was trying to hurt vitality and after some work finally broke him down now cotto using the damage Pac caused on margaritas' eye is a different story
