Just watched the fight again. Kell took senchenkos best shot on the temple and didn't go down. For the original poster to suggest it was a jab shows his complete ignorance of boxing. Great performance from Brook and he looked even better watching it sober
Ha top quip young Furey, I think I would rather pick a glass nose than a glass chin?!.kMind you perhaps we shouldn't say to much in case we give the lads detractors more ammunition.I wonder who these bogey men are? They seem to get very snotty about a lad who is a superb prospect still.....come on Kell:good
Without doubt the most ridiculous thing I've seen so far. He recovered immediately, regained composure and promptly knocked out Senchenko. I think it's about time the kid got a little bit of credit for his performances.
I reckon these boo boys are all closeted Khan fanboys. We should be proud to have two leading contenders in a stacked division.
OP is confused. Brook got caught with a strong punch bang on the temple by a heavy handed fighter, got momentarily buzzed, recovered immediately and KO'd his opponent in stunning fashion. When Carl Froch got knocked down and hurt by Jermain Taylor did anyone say Carl had a glass jaw? No. When Dirrell buzzed him up did anyone call out Carl for his glass jaw? No. Kell brook has a good chin and can take a dig at world level.
I Have watched the fight back and Kell Took a big shot bang on the temple by a x world champ with a record of 34 fights with 23 KO's who came into the fight is superb condition and very confident, yes Kell was stunned momentarily by sechenco if you watch kells face its like a pit-bull he snarls blows snot composes him self and thinks right now it a fight, within 10 or 20 seconds he throws a pinpoint left jab that send sechenco backwards absolute awesome shot!! steps in with a left and a thunderous right combo and if the following uppercut had landed clean I think sechenco would have been ko'd for a long time , thank god it did not!!! no one has done that to Sechenco before kell has massive power "well done Kell" so what he got buzzed recovered quick and finished the job quick I have seen Nigel Benn totally out on his feet in the second round and come back and finish the job in the later rounds, bring on the best" there is no blue print:happy
Kell was dazed for about two seconds, recovered his composure and won the fight quickly there after. I wasn't very impresed with Sechenco at the time of the Hatton fight and even less so when reviewing during the recent Hatton ITV4 doc. I think the jury is still out on Brook at the very very highest level but I'd love to see him in with Khan. There's proper needle there and Khan couldn't help but get pulled in to a slug fest - which, of course, he and his glass chin would lose.
The point is Carl is praised for his toughness and iron jaw, but even so there are examples where he has been wobbled and hurt by punches but nobody tries using that as an evidence of a glass jaw like the OP. The truth is any fighter can be wobbled by the perfect punch, the trick is how you deal with it... Kell dealt with it by immeditely recovering, composing himself and blocking follow up punches and then ending the fight with a devastating right left combo. Much like Carl has dealt with similar moments either by knocking out his opponents or even going on to win the fight. Even in his last fight against Kessler he was hit flush and did the chicken dance... yet after the fight where were the calls for Carl having a glass Jaw?? OP is a joke and a ***
