    $13 mil lol

    http://www.badlefthook.com/2016/5/6/11614214/canelo-vs-khan-purse-details-for-full-hbo-ppv-card

Canelo Alvarez will make a purse of $3.5 million on Saturday night for his HBO pay-per-view main event against Amir Khan, who has a purse of $2 million. If those both seem a little low for a Big Mega Ultra Super Event Fight, it's because they are -- but keep in mind that both fighters are going to also earn money from the pay-per-view and from TV rights, so their take home pay will be notably higher than that.

So what you are saying is Khan made an extra $11 mil from 600,000 PPV buys?

So what did Canelo make extra on the PPV? $11 mil or more of the lionshare. From PPV alone both cleared another $25 mil plus between them?

The standard breakdown as far as money is concerned is a 10% fee off the top for the distributor, with 45% each for the cable system and the promoter.

600,000 x $75 = $45 mil. How does the translate into the fighters taking $25 mil between from that.

    Stop smoking crack.

"Plus share of PPV sales of around $2 or $3 for every PPV sold if the total PPV buys numbers reaches over 500,000. Taking Canelo’s Potential earnings between $15-20 million"

"Khan will also get slice of PPV revenue plus his BoxNation TV deal wil ensure a total of $13 million from his nights work."

As I posted above the numbers do not add up. $45 mil - the network's revenue and the distributor leaves $20 mil for the promoter. If Canelo took $12 mil from that minimum it leaves $8 mil. Pay the card, the promoter needs there money what does that leave?

How much money do you think Box Nation paid for the fight? Would of been a small figure.

I don't blame Khan for trying to get the best deal he can, but when that then comes at the expense of the fight (and money) itself then it's just stupidity.

They both need each other. What other fight for Khan would generate the amount of money he could make against Brook?

Also, if they go at it and make it a great fight, then there's no reason why they can't do a rematch or even a trilogy that will get talked about for years to come.

Brook vs Spence is a better fight, which is what I want to see. Brook vs Khan is an event.
