Brother Nazim Richardson - The Boxing Scholar (GP Video)

Nazim is an awesome trainer. But a lot of those "Nazimisms" are pretty typical in Philly...that's just how trainers here talk!

 

brother naz is a sharp dude. i've always gave him his props, he is a slick talker but the mu****a makes pretty astute observations about his fighters opponents.

 

those words speak to a fighter in combat so much more than "step right, throw left" i think, its vivid imagery that helps the fighter into a mode where they can almost adopt the personifcifation of his words- swiming witout getting wet, it makes ou feel his words- not just hear them its almost like poetry- where you understand what he means to your core- and it is that- poetic, his composure- and his abllity to illustrate colourfully his directions, if he gets mosley thru this- he s the trainer of the year for sure. compare him to rookie trainers like joe santiago who are basic in their instructions "come on- we can do this! come on lets win!"
this man s the truth. if everyone in philly spaks like this- then damn- no wonder they make so many great mcs! bernards also never at a loss for words. man has the gift of gab for sure.

just hearing his words in the corner make we want to shadowbox- i can imagine how inspiring they would be for his fighters.

 

i like that and that most of all he shows everyone respect, he s given floyd his props- instead of the blind confidence that hattons trainer showed- they honestly thought htey would walk in and maul him, nazim knows the deal and knows what they have to deal with- which gives me confidence that he has the right plan to take this on.
