Well, since the rest of us obviously can't figure this one out, I think it would be ok if you reveal the correct answer now.
Exactly! I was asked this question a while back and the guy told me that no one has ever answered it. Well I was a Big fan of Luis Rodriguez so I knew right away that Doug Valliant was his step brother. That just blow his mind away. Douglas Vaillant retired in 1964 with a record of 32 victories (16 by KO) and 8 losses. Rumored to be battling depression, he committed suicide in his adopted Miami in 1985 at the age of 47 years old. A little known fact is that Vaillant was the half brother of Cuban legend Luis Manuel Rodriguez. Great Job! I later became good friends with both Emile Griffith and Carlos Ortiz. I even told Emile that I was a Big fan of Rodriguez, and would always root for him (Luis) and I would root against Emile all the time. He said with a sad face, why you didn't like me. I said, well I watch all the films now and I root for you all the time. When his long time manager and another Great friend of mine, Howie Albert passed away, I gave the Eulogy and Emile and Gil Clancy sat in the 1st row, along with Juan LaPorte. Emile is one of the, if the the nicest guys I ever met in boxing and one of the nicest outside as well.
