Congrats mate. How is opening the amateur gym going?
Great mate just waiting for CRB to come back
Congratulations. For me, it's always been more rewarding to watch others do well than me. Keep up the good work.:good
38-12-1 dc won last night
If always wanted to do amateur boxing. How do the judges score a round ?
In the UK, they count (on clickers usually) the total number of punches landed on the target area, with force, with the knuckle part of the glove.
It doesn't matter how many rounds a boxer wins. All that matters is the total number of points at the end of the contest.
Ring generalship, defense, effective aggression, power of shots landed etc don't influence the outcome.
Amateur rules are changed, no headgears, and pro scoring is in use. We had a Nationals here in Croatia, we were first in Europe to fight by that rules, so i don`t know how it is in UK, but i`m sure rules will change everywhere.
btw, congrats Jeff! ! :happy
Yeah, I know things have or will be changing for elite / AIBA international competitions.
Our national finals were a couple of weeks ago and they are still using the old scoring system (as I described above) and head guards.
Before any changes occur domestically they will have to pass a vote.
I am 13-3 but I can say 2 of my 3 losses were very close if not questionable.. Really hoping to have a lot of open bouts this year, win lose or draw I am after the experience.
i am 1-2 and that win is questionable, i am going for a proper win next saturday :bbb
Go for broke brother, like I said, its all for the experience.
Another win tonight on points
6 wins in a row
How long have you been training for ?
Who me? Training? Coaching? Or fighting?
