Brown/Norris - How Big Of An Upset?

Huge at the time. Norris was considered one of the best p4p fighters out there.

It won "Upset of the Year" by The Ring.

 

Norris took him lightly and paid the price. We saw the real Norris show up for the rematch back to his usual brilliant self.

 

in hindsight it isnt that big an upset.
the whole reason is that brown wasnt suppose to win. norris was rising steadily in the p4p charts and looked at his absoulute peak.

No, it was much bigger than that.

Unlike Clottey, Brown was clearly shopworn and past his peak.

 

Last time i recall, it was a big upset.

I thought it was hilarious, though, when Brown floored Norris with a jab. Then, Norris getting up and still very wobbly, as though he been caught by a glancing blow from Julian Jackson for crying out loud.
