Toney has already deteriorated, his last fight at cruiser his chin looked pretty bad, nowhere near his hey day. This fight is truly a disgrace, I love Toney as an ATG but its insane that this fight has been sanctioned, the guy is brain damaged.
A lot of questions being raised in this thread. There's 2 phone numbers below and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to answer those and any other questions you might have >>> http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=489046&cat=boxer
how come stiffles and anti-green friends r not shaming this fight for being allowed to go ahead. they think toney is healthy and should be fine to fight by the looks of it. why r they not kicking and screaming about this? double standards hey stiffles? and bitter francis wants to go to the venue. very disappointing guys and u too francis.
Kingpin is such a great defensive fighter. Solo better not try for the KO or he'll wear himself out and suffer Leapai's fate.
Exactly what I was thinking. But a huge opportunity for Haumono, none the less. I'm not sure where Johnson is at preparation-wise. Because he's taken this fight on what appears to be about 3 weeks notice, and he obviously needs to travel here as well.
I think Kingpin has got a taste for travel and appearance fees these days but still if Huamono can do the job, people will take notice.
Style wise Solo more chance against KJ than Alex. Still think he meets the same fate though. A 'boxer' beats a 'puncher' everyday unless the puncher has the stamina to be a threat every single minute of every single round IMO.
A rather crude generalization. Nice to see some of our heavyweights having little trouble getting 'name' opponents. Haumono had McCall and ends up with Johnson. Leapai has already fought Johnson. Browne had Towers set and now has Toney. Who is Mark de Mori fighting in a couple of weeks time?
