Is now history & title had been declared vacant. Lucas failed to commit himself to defend against Haumono as per ANBF contract clause.
Welterweight title is also vacant. Victor Chernous has moved overseas.

New ratings as of April 5 should be up in a day or two.

Unless Browne has some big plan, its very disapointing that he didnt take on Haumono.

Australia/Pacific Heavyweight division seems to have alot avoiding one another.

Avoiding each other or seeing more value in other fights available?

Avoiding each other as none are remotely near world class.

And fighting each other would do what exactly?

To me it would only satisfy the Aussie boxing fans. I think the time for fighting each other is in the first 10 odd pro fights. After that, each boxer has their own goals and knows where they stand in the Aussie scheme of things.

You trying to tell me a win for Browne over Solo in Australia would do more for him than a win over Butlin in the UK?

The 1st 10 odd pro fights is where Browne is at.
I dont see how Browne fighting a UK very lower tier journeyman off TV does anything.
Its a waste of everyone's time & why not clean up his own backyard somewhat & get some sponsors/fan support behind him.

If he is indeed fighting Butlin in a bout that wont be seen in Australia or UK...it does nothing to progress his career unless he is aiming for a top 10 UK brit Heavyweight which he will get stopped on the opening bout of a Sky Sports UK telecast not being televised back into Australia.
Its done Mark DeMori's popularity wonders not fighting on TV once every 2 years.

Where's the 'goal' in beating 36 year old Paul Butlin who's lost his last 11 fights :patsch

Granted he'd probably have great appeal as an opponent for someone who had 'already achieved all their goals and is now in it for the entertainment'.

Goal as in expanding his audience, earning potential and attractiveness to future opponents/promoters.

I intentionally don't bring Mark into threads that aren't about him, but you're developing a real knack for it Spider.

When I read in an earlier post here 'Australia/Pacific Heavyweight division seems to have alot avoiding one another', he was the first person I thought of, and would probably be the first name others reading the thread would have though of as well.

Are you really 'avoiding' people when they are ranked lower than you? Pretty sure there's only a couple above your purple obsession and neither have been 'avoided'
