Martel may not have the greatest skill set but he packs a mean punch- he has improved in the past year - it won't be a gift for Browne but as long as he actually boxes and waits for his opportunity to finish he should be ok - if he gets drawn into a slugging match - and that's what Martell will be trying to do - well it could go either way.

Interesting choice of venue alright. Hatton obviously looking to market Browne to the Poms.

You clearly haven't seen his opponent fight. He's better than your lover, Haumono by some distance.

On the undercard to Bellew v Stevenson. He blasted out hot prospect Didier Bence, who personally I didn't think had the power to really kick on as a big player in the division. Regardless, Bahoeli was brought in as an opponent and he mopped the floor with Bence, who was a decent amateur.

there is no defending this match imo.

lucas says he won't face haumono cause he is going to fight fury etc. then backflips and chooses a nobody to fight for the comm title.

I told u it was a lie and I was attacked.

can't wait to see the new excuses now, lol.

Where did he once say he was going to face Fury instead of Haumono? From what I heard the offer to face Haumono was extremely low. This guy would beat Haumono and is ranked higher than him on boxrec.

Don't worry about facts with Buster - he actually believes Haumono is worth the ridiculous amount of money he reportedly wants to get in the ring.

If Haumono outpricing himself is correct that explains why we have seen nothing of him in the ring.

team lucas agreed to everything vs haumono, yet they then claimed there was no ppv date available and that's why they changed their mind. that and lucas was going to fight fury instead.

as if lucas is ppv in oz. that's laughable to say the least.

they had the date, venue, fox tv and then ducked.

team lucas has done this to themselves, they have nobody else to blame.

Following his stunning fifth round stoppage of England's Richard Towers in November, Lucas is the only boxer guaranteed a shot at the Commonwealth title vacated by David Price.

It is Lucas' intention to become the first Australian heavyweight to win the Commonwealth belt in almost a century and a number of big name boxers remain on his wish list, including Tyson Fury and Dereck Chisora.

It sure doesn't say he's going to fight one of them for the belt, unless you have poor comprehension. Further, where does Lucas say it, like you suggested he did. Anyway, go and check out Bahoeli. He'll give Browne all he can handle, trust me. Just because you haven't heard of him, doesn't mean he's not a good boxer.
