This is the second of two fights I failed to deliver on time.

    1. Not much occurred here. Woodcock.
What happened in the next two rounds proved just what a mismatch this was:
    2. A lightning fast left-right dropped Ralph. Ralph would hit the deck three more times in the round, first by a right uppercut, second by a right cross, and lastly by a left-right combination. Woodcock, clearly.
    3. Double right hand dropped Ralph again. Woodcock then dropped Ralph four times in a row, one knockdown coming right after another, and each produced by the right hand. The fight was stopped, and understandably so.

Verdict: Very fast and entertaining to see the guy up and down like a yo-yo. Give it a look.

Btw, there was an undercard to this fight in the video and I decided to watch it. It was between two guys, one looked like he suffered from gigantism, and the other was a dwarf. Nothing much happened, but it was interesting to see two guys of such extreme sizes have a go at it.

Really? I didn't think there was very much of him on film.

    Ralph
    Lesnevich

most of it good enough quality to see proper fighting, that's plenty of film for any fighter... especially when you consider the thousands of fighters where there might only be a snippet of film or no footage at all.

Say what you like about Woodcock but he was the only man to give Gus Lesnavich the full ten count.

Ralph seemed to have a problem avoiding a right hand.

Who was the second fight ?
It's from a different fight card.
I have a feeling the big one is Ewart Potgieter .

It might be Jamaican-born UK boxer "Simon Templar" actually.

Yeah, that fights the bill. Retired after 6th round/

But, if so, it raises the question how many of these bouts below were filmed that night then ?

I lost count of the knockdowns. I think there were nine. Bruce W was obviously in another class from Ralph. He seemed a decent boxer with a right hand punch, but failed against top ten Americans most of the time. There was some controversy when Louis retired about Bruce W not getting a chance in the elimination. The point is well taken. As the British Empire and European champion he should have gotten a shot at Walcott or Charles. He would have lost, but it is supposed to be a "world" championship, not an American possession.

The other fight is more interesting, if dull. I could make out the announcer and it was Ewart Potgieter of South Africa against Simon Templar of Jamaica. Templar was not a dwarf. I don't know his height, but his listed weight was 236 lbs. Postgieter was just an immense giant at 7' 2" and about 320 to 330 lbs. The big fellow really couldn't fight, but size won him some. Too bad he was never matched with Bob Satterfield. I would have loved to have seen that fight.

    Really interesting stuff. Thanks.
Potgieter was indeed really just a huge lunk, but with surprisingly small feet for a guy that big.
