The middle knuckle on my lead hand is bruised. Doesn't hurt normally, but when I try to train its nagging.

I've switched from MMA gloves to wraps and 16oz gloves, but that doesn't seem to help.

    Any suggestions?

Had plenty of knuckle injuries myself. Bigger goves, sponges in the wraps etc will help prevent them in the future, but it won't heal until you take time off. Ice it too.

That's what I thought you would say.

I've taken the heavy bag and mitts out of the workout and replaced them with extra speed bag and shadow boxing.

    No mitts = BOOOOOO!!!!

Yeah it sucks but it usually heals pretty quick I find (depending on how severe obviously). Try again after a week. Wear your wraps and real gloves, and get a piece of sponge and put it over your knuckles before you wrap your hands. Start back slow and not full power until you're sure it's healed.

Either take time off or stand by for 6 months of wrapping sponges into your wraps and praying to Jesus you don't land a single hook or jab every session.
