Talking to DAZN, he said: "He knows deep down in his heart if he was around in my day, they’d eat him for dinner, and breakfast as well.

“I’m not going to sit here and disrespect Tyson Fury, but we're talking about a different era. He’s living on a different cloud to what I was on.

“Good luck to him, he’s number one, he deserves to be number one. I’ve got a lot of respect for him.”

Bruno talking some serious bollocks here. If we discard WBO:

Holyfield, Douglas, Bowe, Lewis, Moorer, Foreman, McCall, Bruno, Seldon and Tyson all got hold of a belt.

Fury is so versatile in his skillset, so unique in his physicality and he is clearly mentally strong. He would give anybody in history a major task in overcoming. All of the guys on the abovementioned list lost to dodgy opposition, bar Bowe, maybe. Some of them never beat anybody who was that good.

Bruno coming across a bit bitter here, because it's obvious that Fury would not be eaten alive and certainly not by Bruno.

Bruno is a legend but he's talking nonsense here, straight up hating! I did laugh at the thought of big Frank saying "I'm not going to sit here and disrespect Tyson Fury" then sit there and do just that lmao.

My gut feeling is that guys like Lewis, Vitali and Iron Mike at their peak would destroy this era with only Fury having the heart, desire and skillset to at least give them a competitive fight.

Lewis lost to two mediocre opponents, Tyson even more so and never beat anybody that good. Vitali never lost in a conventional way, never down, but never had anybody great to beat.

Fury is competitive in any era and he is better than Mike Tyson without a doubt. One of the most overrated athletes in history due to his disgusting personality which is glorified by boxing fans.

Fighters have always said this kind of thing and always will. Jack Johnson said that he and a number of other top fighters in his era would have beaten Joe Louis easily. As Fury said, all old retired champions (some of whom are less physically capable and most of whom are less mentally capable than the average man of their age) are jealous of the new ones. The consensus until AJ got outskilled by Usyk (which isn't exactly a disgrace considering Usyk's pedigree) was that Bruno was a poor man's AJ, even by those who didn't have AJ as one of the two best heavyweights of this era.

I still remember Lewis hitting Vitali with that uppercut and wondering how on earth any man could still be standing. Fury could possibly outbox Vitali but I don't think he would get up if Vitali got to him. Vitali would wipe out Joshua and Wilder.

Lennox Lewis got wiped out twice and his biggest danger in the current era could be Wilder. It would be a very interesting fight between Lewis and Fury but Tony Dosh PPV would get wiped out.

Mike Tyson before he went off the rails was a beast - cannot imagine the likes of Joshua hanging around long facing Iron Mike in his prime. Wilder has a decent punchers chance and Fury with his size could outbox him.

There would be some great fights to be made if all those fighters were in the same era although I still see Vitali, Lewis and Mike Tyson in his prime as the men to beat.

I have written off Tyson Fury in the past and became a fan after the greatest comeback seen in boxing.

I actually think Tyson Fury will outbox most of the heavyweights from the last 20 - 30 years.

People say this is Bruno 'hating' but he shared a promo video with Fury a few months ago and there seemed to be some genuine mutual respect. People tend to protect and inflate the importance of their eras and I doubt it's much more than that.

I would imagine Dosh would be wiped out by Tyson because Tyson would smell blood before the first bell would be rang. One punch on Joshua's head and that would be it. But Tyson went the distance with some average opposition.

I rate Vitali Klitschko very highly and would favour him to beat Fury, probably, more times than not. It is all hypothetical and mostly pointless to discuss but Bruno's comments are absurd.

Frank trying big up a pretty non descript era of Heavyweight Boxing. I wouldn't give him a hope against most of today's top 10.

To be fair towards Fury. If he had been fighting in Bruno's day, he wouldn't only be on nandrolone, but half the pharnacy like most at the time.
And eating him alive would probably lead to a drug overdose.

He would be competitive, but he certainly would not stand out, bar the rather impressive size.
