Dokes had very fast hands... For about five rounds.

Bruno had monstrous power... For about five rounds.

Who wins in a 12 round bout?

Michael Dokes was the better fighter and could beat guys that could beat Bruno.. But in a hth matchup i think Dokes eventually would get caught... Bruno comes from behind to score an 8th round ko.

Tough one! Instinct tells me Dokes, but Frank would be a very live underdog in this fight.

Bruno would find a way to lose.

After dominating the early rounds with his jab, his stamina would give up, as the nerves kick in as Bomber starts to see the finishing line.

Dokes TKO11/12, with Dynamite just ahead on the cards.

Young Dokes would stop Bruno late or win a UD in 12.Old Dokes may get stopped, especially the 90/91 version of Dokes.

Dokes wins via a late rounds stoppage. Bruno would do ok in the early rounds, but,as usual, would fade later on and getcaught by Dokes' speeddy combos.

Im sorry if i appear to be a hater but im not. Can you give me an example of when Bruno demonstrated his 'monstrous' power? Against a live fighter not a 4th rater

Only the ropes kept McCall up after Bruno partially landed a straight punch on him , don't remember in which round but it was relatively early.
Maybe he may have still remained standing without the ropes if it was a really large ring , maybe not.

A "clean" Dokes, younger version, tkos Frank. I'd be routing for Frank, but once he gets stunned, he freezes and Dokes would turn on the jets and that would be it.

I take your point but dont you think that an 17/18 stone professional guy is entitled to hurt another. I still dont think it shows his 'monstrous' power.

Maybe his power is overrated , but had it been compared to Shavers' and Liston's at least he would have turned out as the heaviest puncher of the 3. Compare the fighters that Shavers and Liston KOd to the fighters Bruno KOd and get the notion , unless you are one of the people here who think Norton , Young and Ellis were vastly superior HW fighters to Coetzee , Ferguson and Carl Williams

All three were vastly superior to Ferguson and the Coetzee and Williams who fought the Bomber.
