****in' hell, that was a brutal punch.

The woman who was commentating had an unnaturally high pitched voice.

Manhoef is just a beast. I hope he improves his ground game

Spectacular kickboxer / Muay Thai fighter; if he can make the same money doing that he should jus stick to that, because his ground game after all this time is still hopeless.

Dont sell him so short. Every time Manhoef has lost on the mat its been to guys who were top notch Judoka's or had good Jujitsu. Manhoef has a decent takedown defence. He's not exactly a beetle on his back but neither does he have the defense to defend submissions against some of the best grapplers out there. Melvin definitly has a place in MMA. He's by far one of MMA's best and most potent strikers. He epitomises everything that is the ultra aggresive style of Muay Thai.

That's moslty true, but I mean it more in the sense that he might be able to be one of the worlds best in kickboxing. If the time spent on his ground work is taking away from sharpening up his striking, but I don't know his situation.

I just think he is what he is in mma, probably the best striker in the game, but won't be able to retain a belt without some "creative" matchmaking; I think he might be able to in K1, if there was a natural weightclass for him I know he could.

He's always exciting and has a chance with anybody, so I'm glad to have him in mma, but maybe he could be a sustained champ in k1.

No one stands and trades with Melvin and lives to tell the tale. Silva vs Manhoef though would be VERY interesting. Silva and Machida though are more counter punchers than Melvin though and both have very good ground games. The likelyhood would be Machida and Silva submissions as i would imagine neither man would want to stand an trade.

Manhoef v Silva and Machida gets me real interested.

Silva v Machida at 205 is gonna be sick. If Silva beats Griffin then make the fight. Rampage v Rashad winner can fight Griffin again.

If Silva fought RJJ under Marquis of Queensbury the ownage would be humbling to watch. Silva already lost by KO under boxing rules to some nobody. Silva's striking in MMA is great. In boxing forget about it.

I don't think Silva has any decent boxing defence.

In MMA you can get away with not having a boxing defence cos you can keep someone at more range with your feet, go for the take down etc You can mix it up. In boxing the other guy should eventually get you for it.

Obviously Bisping showed what having a poor boxing defence can get you in MMA.

    Liddell showed the same thing.

Jackson showed how beneficial it can be for you.

It's funny Bisping got sparked like that when all he says on TUF is 'hands up'!

Rampage actually has very good standup and very powerful hands despite coming from a wrestling background. He also did quite well in his brief stints in the K1. I wish he wouldnt fall in love his standup so much though and use some of that wrestling and ridiculous strength he has. I miss his powerbombs..:D
