I agree he lacks power, he is a decent puncher but nothing special but lacking height and boxing ability?

He is 6'3 tall and has a reach of 7'1 if the stats are correct. I would not say he lacks of height/reach.

I also think he is underrated technically. He is a little different to other Heavyweights out there because he is more defensive and very technical, he tries to outthink his opponents and outsmart them in the ring what is very tough in HWD because a lot of guys can punch.

Of course you can see that he started boxing in his early 20s so he only had a couple of amateur fights and a very short amateur career but still he is better than most of the Top 20/25 HW out there. Top 10 is another thing, i also think it will be tough for him but he can surprise a lot of opponents in Top 20 i think if we excluding the top.

Jennings is an interesting fighter, and I'm glad to see him back in the mix. He doesn't do anything spectacularly well, but he doesn't do anything particularly badly either, which has accounted for a good degree of his success. He also takes his conditioning super seriously, which means he always has the energy to fight hard for every round, and outwork more skilled or talented fighters down the stretch. He's like a moderately athletic, unschooled but rugged and gutsy workhorse, which sounds a bit like I'm damning him with faint praise, but is actually quite a unique set of attributes in this current division.

It'd be nice to see if he can work on some of his weaknesses in this comeback. He has a decent reach for his height, but doesn't tend to use it as well as he could against shorter or same height fighters, and brawls a bit too often in situations where it's better for him to hang back. Slight tendency to shell up too much in defence too, which limits his counter-punching opportunities.

All in all he's a quality fighter though. I guess I rate him in the same way as I rate Takam. They're both similar types of fighters on a similar level to each other. Good, solid mid-tier guys who can give almost anyone a decent night's work. Also, like Takam, he isn't afraid to fight anybody, and that's only to be admired in a division that has Wilder and Pulev in its ranks.

Jennings is solid, I think him vs Whyte, Chisora or Takam will make fun fights to watch..

He will be back in top10 just because he is in the right time and in the right place.

I've only seen clips so I'm not really sure how good he is, although I know a little more thanks to this thread. I do seem to remember Hearn referencing him as a possible AJ opponent in one of his IFL videos a few weeks ago. So he's in the thoughts of the promoters as a possible candidate, although Miller must surely be the more obvious choice there.

whyte and Jennings had a heated exchange awhile back but I think Jennings back down

Jennings vs Whyte is probably a close matchup. I think Whyte is a bit overrated due to his banging KO last month. They also have the same size so it should be competitive. I also think Jennings would do well vs AJ.

It would be interesting if Jennings will fight Miller if both prevail in their fights at the weekend. And the winner vs Whyte.

I think Miller has the edge here. He is naturally bigger, has more power and is tough as **** because of his MMA history. Miller ate Crocop kicks to the head, can not see Jennings knocking Miller out tbh. So i think Miller late stoppage or via decision. But i would not write Jennings off, if he has a smart plan there he can do something, but still thinking Miller should win this.

Sounds like a good contest, a thinker versus a brawler...

He's already lost consecutive fights to Klitschko and Ortiz.. hasn't been active with any serious opponents for 3 years... his psyche is shattered.. I mean all the best to him, hope he does it, but the chances are tiny.. plus he's a vegan, which poses a serious health risk.

Usyk/Gassiev cannot move up soon enough......

And I wish Dubois/Hrgovic were 2-3 years older.....

It's starting to get boring watching one HW champion take on the best challengers, and the other sticking to taking on B class HW's.

I doubt that veganism is that bad. If you have the right supplements veganism isn't worse than eating meat or milk products. It's about the right strategy. Btw.

You can lose to Wlad and Ortiz. Wlad is an ATG, one of the best HWs out there for a decade and longer and Ortiz is still #3 in HWD right now. No shame about losing to them. Losing via UD vs Wlad and getting TKOd by Ortiz isn't that bad.
