I never take credit away from Stiverne. He does some things really well. Perez, I just think is quicker, has better defensive ability, and equal or better offensive ability-technical ability. He can't punch as hard as Stiverne, but is more diverse in general and can still fight outside his comfort zone when the style doesn't look good on him. Jennings did not look good with Perez and it was an arguable score, but a very different kettle of fish in a southpaw like him and to me just a better fighter than Stiverne. Either way, I'm actually happy for Wilder and think he's a good, improving product.

It's only impressive in the context that a guy who started boxing in 2009, while working a full time job as a fix-it man, fought a crafty southpaw and top ten, battle-tested contender with a wealth of an amateur background and they both made each other look equally lackluster. In that context, Jennings should have impressed, whether he looked impressive or not. He is now a full-time fighter though and has that experience in his career to move forward.

I suppose I can agree to a certain extent regarding Perez' overall skills and potential; however, he's lazy. Perez regresses every other fight.

Stiverne is a hungrier and more determined fighter than Perez. Stiverne has shown constant improvement. Perez is a disappointment and for that reason, I think Stiverene is better.
