    Jennings is carrying his left glove against his left hip as he saunters around Rivas, backhanding jabs up into his face. As they circle together Jennings puts up a turtle shell, and Rivas starts to work from body to head. Jennings is starting to stand in the pocket and trade body shots with Rivas. Jennings with a NICE step-around looping right hand on the left temple of Rivas, almost knocking him off-balance. Rivas is charging in, throwing a scything right hand but not getting through cleanly.

    You can make an argument that Rivas won that round if you were looking to give him one after a string of Jennings rounds. Rivas let his hands go a little more, or maybe it was Jennings took a bit of a round off. Rivas still has a chance here down the stretch if he has anything left in the tank.

    Jennings is walking Rivas onto his 1-2, swiveling off the ropes as he lands, corkscrewing his body for extra torque and then drifting off to one side. Rivas starts to lather up some momentum, first scraping the body and then drilling Jennings with a couple of right hands, but Jennings is able to situate himself on the outside track and Rivas leaves him alone there. Jennings pops jabs in between Rivas' eyes from long range. Jennings is bull-rushed into a corner, but Rivas can't get any shots off as the longer man folds their arms together, pushing down until the ref breaks them.

    Rivas gas come close to landing a big shot in the last two rounds. Rivas keeps smothering himself though whenever he gets something going. I thought he nudged that round, but - big surprise in this fight - it was another close round.

    Jennings is hacking at the side and back of the head with chops of his wrist as Rivas leans in on him. Lots of clinching and rough infighting until Gary Rosato can interject himself. Rivas squatting in place in front of Jennings, feigning a double jab and then firing the right, but not fooling Jennings, who stays calmly poised in a defensive posture and waits until Rivas has retracted his arms to dribble jabs off his forehead. Rivas swings WIDE up top with a right, missing by a mile. Jennings plopping in just enough jabs from outside to keep himself on the scoreboard, if only just. 1-2 by Jennings. Lots of nervous flinching and posing from both men, long game of chicken, nobody throwing in the final twenty seconds.
