Jennings "I know I won't be fighting him anymore."

Not exactly what you want to hear, especially in a fight he was (probably) winning as long as he stayed on his feet.

Wow. Osuna just translated Rivas' answer to where that burst of power came from. Apparently when they first started training in Bogota, there was a mountain that Marc Ramsay had Rivas climb up to instill a sense of perseverance in him (as he was going through a lot of stuff in his personal life then) and between the 11th and 12th here, reminded him of that climb and said "look at everything you did to get here", and that motivated him to come out with that STAGGERING (literally) display of sudden violence.

Teddy Atlas, eat your stupid heart out. That's how you make an effective dramatic speech to a fighter...not loudly & ostentatiously for the camera, but low-key, with direct & intimate focus, just loud enough for him to hear, in his native language... :deal:

I suspect so, though Rivas was coming on a bit over the previous two rounds (I gave them both to Kaboom), so he was building a bit of a foundation for that final round blitzkrieg.

Two of the three judges had Rivas winning by the 11th round.

    Official cards

    Rivas 106-103, 105-104
    Jennings 106-103

Sort of surprised by that, but like I said earlier I can't really knock the judges for liking what they like in that fight. If you like pressure - even if not that effective - I can see why you gave Rivas those rounds.

Er...well, if you're Bryant Jennings the silver lining I guess is that you got to go out on your shield instead of getting robbed? :nusenuse:

Yeah, I don't think I would have thrown a Teddy Atlas fit if Rivas got the nod had he not knocked him out, would have been a tad surprised, but wouldn't have used the word robbery.

Jennings said he wont be fighting here anymore. He said that because he lost against ortiz at the same venue.
