He lost his father at 4 and his mother at 16...He began to ramble the streets when he was young and homeless doing vendalism and lots of drugs. Boxing litterally saved him and brought him back discipline and self esteem in his life. Its also a way for him to help others, to guide them.

I DKSAB but you are GUESSING, IMAGINING AND PRETENDING.

Right so I'm suppose to rate a fighter highly based on WHAT EXACTLY? Don't tell me, nah don't say it, nooooo, don't say the words "eye test".

How do fighters get rated on a P4P list? How do fighters get rated in ranking? How does anybody compare fighters?

All we have on here is morons telling people like me "AJ's resume is poor, only beat a grandfather in Klitschko.... an old Povetkin.... blah blah blah"

The minute fighters you have rated and backed start getting shown up to being bang average.. Actually Ortiz already has with Dave Allen, Malik Scott, Wilder and the best win of Jennings then it all changes.

So We now should forget all that now because YOU and people like you believe, think or want to pretend if things were different then things would be different.

Facts are facts, resumes are resumes, we can't sit here and imagine and pretend how things would have turned out because the facts are we don't know, we can only work on facts.

Although I give full credit to Rivas for coming out in round 12th with a seemingly renewed fire and guns blazing.... it was one of the most ponderous knockout combinations I have ever seen. Rivas is painfully slow. I think even a 50 year old James Toney could have toyed with Rivas last night. As for Jennings.... a nice guy.. but, simply never has been an elite fighter.

It always goes back to old Luis Ortiz:

Ortiz's resume took a dive last night.
Wilder's resume took a dive last night.
Joshua's resume took a dive last night since his best win Wlad was even more shot everyone thought not being able to stop this guy.
    Also applies to Fury.

They are all CRAP. I'm going to the fatty bandwagon with Miller and Kownacki.

LMAO, you better inform yourself about Rivas. The guy beat Pulev, Ruiz Jr and Alfonso in the amateurs and is still unbeaten yet. Not quite a noname.

Omfg. You are the worst troll ever. Please try to catch some lights at the highway, you piece of cake. You are probably drunken right now as i can remember you mentioned you can not endure your wife at home so i won't overrate your reaction.

I will explain it to you as you might have some issues with READING AND UNDERSTANDING because of alcohol abuse so:

    1. I never said Rivas has a good resume.

    2. I only said Rivas isn't a noname if you have some knowledge about boxing. The guy has good talent and skills but lacked a good promoter behind him and obviously a work ethic to make it to the top but he was very busy recently and looked decent vs. Jennings.

    3. It's not important what a fighter did in the amateurs, logically, but it's a sign where he comes from, what a background he has and obviously a lot of world class amateurs are world title winners later on. If you need some rest from your wife you should counting those world title holders right now and how many of them were medal winners at the Olympics for example. You will remember my words then.

    4. You are so dumb that you don't even understand what i wrote. What did i write about resumes you nasty piece of cake? Nothing at all. I only said that a weak / thin resume isn't meaning that a fighter is average automically. And that's the case for Oscar Rivas. Rivas has a thin resume before he fought Jennings but he is much better than that and he showed it yesterday fighting a good fight.

Poor Ortiz. So many people are obsessed with him and how amazing/awful he is, but he has almost no actual fans- just Joshua and Wilder fanatics molding him into their narrative. He’s no unstoppable boogeyman and his resume isn’t great, but if you can’t appreciate him to some extent as one of the best technicians in the division you really dksab.

That is what I saw. Jennings seems to suffer from sparring partner syndrome. Rivas threw, by far, the most meaning punches. I thought Rivas would win, even though I had not seen him fight that much, due Jennings looking so awful, to me anyway, in his last few fights.

Looks like Wlad was already way past his prime when he fought Jennings.

Yep, a prime Wlad takes Jennings out in 6 rounds or less.

Been saying for ages that Wlad's been in decline since Pianeta. He was clearly a shadow of himself when he fought Jennnings, Fury and Joshua.
