Conceição is teeing off in spurts, but this has the feel of a somewhat animated spar, more than a pro contest. Ambríz Suárez is stunned by some of the Brazilian's quick gazelle hooks, but the amateur superstar consistently fails to follow up and put on the finishing touches...

 

Where the hell is your jab, Robson?!?! I know that a majority of boxing coaches in your country have largely taken a backseat to and subsumed themselves into the vastly more popular sport (almost domestic pastime) of MMA, but still..

 

He's very athletically gifted, is "El Niño", but ... not much positive takeaway, otherwise, considering he's a 3x Olympian.

(then again, so is garbage-ass Rau'shee, who's about to get KTFO tomorrow night...so that distinction actually isn't as prestigious as it may seem...)

 

Ambríz Suárez content to survive, throwing lumpy triple jabs and sloppy hacking rights while hopping straight inside erratically after some zigzagging, then smothering and suppressing Conceição with a glove pinning either wrist. Conceição happy to showboat while shooting proverbial fish in a barrel, dropping his guard to slip the Mexican's easily anticipated combos and then popping off quick flashy body combos.

Meh.

Joe Tessitore has been hitting the gym...and maybe had some work done (plastic surgery) on his face... And has a hip new look (facial hair) and seems to have some kind of product gelled into his coiffure? This is all VERY DISTRACTING.

 

Guys looks to have shed like twenty years.
