This match up in my mind reminds me of Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson (By no means am I comparing Wilder to Tyson) Jennings is one of the most exciting Heavyweights I've seen in recent years and really I think he'll be the one to put an end to the hype that follows Wilder. What do you think?
Wilder waiting for the winner of Stiverne vs Arreola WBC title fight. Perez vs Jenning winner meet the Stiverne/Arreola /Wilder winner.
I don't know. Jennings has the reach to touch Wilder, but he's tentative early, and I don't know if he can be assertive early enough in the fight to get to Wilder. So far, he's showed a solid, but NOT iron chin. Wilder has showed he can crack SOLID chins, ie Liakovich. I would be rooting for Jennings, but then again, I was rooting for Scott. Sad as it may sound, it's probably gonna be someone with nothing to lose, like a Seth Mitchell who'll end his hype train.:think
Arreola will finish Wilder this year and might retire him cause Wilders chin will be all over the place.
I dunno man the interviews I've read about Jennings lead me to believe he can beat Wilder. Bryant has a fighting spirit, the guy even runs to and from work! He won't lay down for Wilder like Scott did,not happening. :nono
This fight could rejuvenate American heavyweight boxing in a big way. Two young, undefeated, always fit American heavyweights? We need this kind of fight badly.
Good ass fight, but please never again compare either of these guys to Holyfield or Tyson. (although I do see the parallel in the all-around solid workhorse vs. the fearsome-reputed destroyer analogy...)
:? I'm not a massive fan of either, and suspect both could fall well short of ruling the world, but how is this anything less than, indeed, a very good national domestic match-up? Jennings is the livest body Wilder should ever have faced, and likewise Jennings has never been in with any puncher half as dangerous as Wilder. The loser sees their hype ebb while the victor will have justified some of their own and taken at least a step in the right direction of proving their mettle. Not too dissimilar to Chisora vs. Fury I, really. It shouldn't be a world title eliminator or anything, but yeah - good ass fight. I stand fully behind that. What exactly is your problem?
Ah okay, well it would be funny and equally alien to us to hear a Brit saying it was "dogs bollocks" or the like. :good Every place has its slang.
Not sure it reminds me of that fight. But a fight I'd like to see none the less. Wilder will start fighting better opponents soon. Many are just sweating on him failing. I'll just be watching with interest.
I don't think we'll see this match up as I feel a fit and focused Perez has he beating of Jennngs! If all fights go ahead then my money would go on Perez/Arreola to come through their respective bouts,After that then I'd have Arreola to pip Perez Over 12 rounds in a slugger fest.....hopefully then Arrola has enough in the tank to put this American dream to bed once and for all.
