I completely agree with your statement, my comment was a bit harsh but I was really disappointed in Parkers performance. I think Jennings is on par or even better than Whyte skillswise and has better stamina, I don't think its a smart move for Parker to fight him next. He needs to take some time off and reconsider things. If he finds the motivation, he can come back (perhaps with a new team).
Neither seem to have any hunger left. Jennings got $2 million against Wlad and Parker got $8 million against Joshua. Both seem to just be going through the motions now. I think it's a 50/50 fight. Both are good atheletes when in good shape, but neither is all that skilled and they both lack power. Jennings has an excellent reach, but doesn't have a jab to speak of while Parker has some of the most inefficient footwork I've ever seen in a world class fighter. Parker is young enough to leave New Zealand and get a real trainer if he's serious about every being a world champion again while Jennings might be to old to fix a lot of the mistakes he makes.
Parker should be tied to a chair and played a video of kiwi bird being butchered followed by New Zealand losing at rugby to Australia and then their Americas cup yacht sinking. Video to loop on repeat until Parker goes full Bruce banner...
Parker probably got a tape of Jenning's struggling against midget with t-rex arms Joey D and thought no worries. Dimitrenko might knock him out.
Dimi would lose no doubt, he will quit like he always does. Just wait and watch the fight. Dimi chose to quit against Parker too in mere 3 rounds. He wanted to quit against guys 8" shorther than him like Bean and Chambers. Dimi vs Tor Hamer would be interesting to watch.
