I'm not saying it sets his career back the way a loss would, but it's still a step back in competition. Very clearly so.

"step back" does not mean the same thing as "setback".

It's a disappointing regression. It's something he's going to rightfully cop criticism for, the way Kelly Pavlik for instance is continuing to cop flack for continuing his supposedly serious comeback by taking on an even lowlier tuneup than his last one.

For Jennings to come across a serious prospect, it's best not to squander a nationally televised high quality performance against a former contender by following it up with a joke fight against a can.

I wrote him off when he botched the Briggs fight, but you can't deny he looked to have regained some form in the last couple of years before the Jennings loss.

 

Nothing wrong with a young guy who has very little experience taking a stay busy fight. And you never know if this Freight Train comes in looking sharp. Jennings has less fights than Bull**** Boytsov and he has already stepped up so I dont worry about Jennings going in the right direction.

 

True IB. i was reading your round by round when he was fighting helenius. i think you had him winning all rounds or most before that deadly KO. i watched the fight after on youtube and he was looking sharp. His Cardio wasnt the best. That nose had to have something to do with it

 

Jenning is staying busy and thats all we can ask for with HWs today. looking forward to this card. Hope I get ot here on canadian TV. most likey not and gonna have to follow IB rd by rd
