He's a decent fighter with good skills, stamina, and is gritty but unfortunately has a lack of punching power that will keep him from the top level as things stand now.
I don't think punching power is all that it's cracked out to be, but it's underrated. He hits HARD, but he boxes very, very well. He does 10 miles runs, which most American heavyweights don't do and he moves like a light-heavyweight.
He's much bigger for sure, 225lbs, he's got a long reach of 84 inches and perhaps hits much harder. Michael Spinks is good a match actually.
he doesn't fight so why care? he thinks after his few fights he's supposed to fight for the title and is destined to earn a shitload of money. that won't happen. he's a great athlete but he hasn't figured out the business so far
he's got decent power for his size, is in really good physical condition, likes to mix it up and can move. he's the prototypical heavyweight of yesteryear. he'll lose to the klitschkos, but with a little more experience, there's no reason why he couldnt make noise in the division.
I find his arms unnaturally long for his hight which is in his advantage. However, I lost interest of him when he ducked Pulev although being offered 6 figure.
I get a vibe that he's getting the big head, turning down fights because he thinks he's due monster purses because he's beaten a few decent journeymen.
It's nice to see a solid American fighter for once. Pays attention to fundamental skills, not obsessed with being flashy or showing off, runs a lot, no excess flab, mobile...It's a rarity.
heavyweights types like him are better, too many heavies today (most americans) adopt these 'modern' techniques and their ****. they tire out so easily, Jennings doesn't. His competition is FAR above wilder's. but man, this guy is fast!
Wilder is fast and he hits HARD. I don't think I've ever seen anyone KO Kelvin Price as brutally as Wilder did. Wow!
