http://boxingnews.com.ua/ru/novosti/3673-brajant-dzhennings-vstretitsja-s-baui-tupou The next opponent for promising American heavyweight Bryant Jennings (15-0,7 KOs) will be a boxer from Tonga Bowie Tupou (22-2, 16 KO's), according to Fightnews.com.Tupou is very strong physically, but in terms of skills,he's not boxer of the highest level,so it's unlikely he will be able to create problems in the ring for Jennings. Fight will take place-December 8 in Philadelphia and will be broadcast on NBC.
bowie is gonna heal that fast? whatever his injury to his arm was. if Bowie is healthy it's a good fight. direct comparison to how malik scott did
what a **** fight. tupou just got his ears boxed off by Malik Scott, why not Jennings vs Scott? That would be a great fight with implications.
Yes, a **** fight. Just another record-padder. I thought Jennings was about to make a serious leap up in opposition. Sigh .....
better opponent than steve collins and a hell of a lot better than koval. also, "Tupou recently has reunited with trainer Jeff Mayweather after a few years of separation." fightnews
Chris Mannix twitter: "Tor Hamer turns down @BYJennings" :hey Can't really **** on Jennings or Peltz/Main Events for that. which sucks because Jennings-Hamer is a FIGHT.
and for you Mr. Ears and company, from Peltz Boxing facebook page: "While trying to get someone to challenge Bryant Jennings for the USBA title on Dec. 8 at Temple University in Philadelphia and on NBC Sports Network, the following heavyweights said no to a fight with Jennings--Brian Minto, Fres Oquendo, Albert Sosnowski, Deontay Wilder, David Rodriguez, Tor Hamer and Mark di Mori." sorry for the 8th post in a row but anyways.
Nice to see Jennings staying active, its a decent fight at this stage of his career. He's had very little am experience & is still a novice, he needs more seasoning & Bowie is a half-decent opponent. Onwards & upwards for Bryant :bbb
Can't knock Jennings for this atleast he's keeping busy, Wilder and Hamer did turn down fights with him so atleast he tried.
Tupou wouldn't have been my first choice but its not a bad pick at all for Jennings. The only guy that he's been in with thats better is Lyakovich and Tupou is a clear step up from guys like Koval and Collins. Jennings needs fights and rounds before fighting top 10 type of guys and Tupou should do that. I see people are saying Scott would have been better but I'm not sure. First, I think Scott is too big of a step right now for Jennings, he's a good boxer with a lot of rounds under his belt. Scott beats Jennings if they fight right now. Second, Scott might have talent but he routinely stinks up his fights. I like Scott and would like to see him have some success but he's not very fann-friendly and there's no need to give NBC(who has just started showing interest in boxing again) a black eye with a heavyweight bore-fest.
