So Brook should have vacated rather than defend against Dan?:huh That is some of the craziest sh*t I've read on here What were these other "top" fighters doing? Why didn't they get themselves into position for a mandatory shot at Brook's IBF belt?
What ****es me off is that A champion and a big name, both living in the UK can't fight each other. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEfqFHNSLho ****ing Khan doesn't want anything to do with Brook. smh
We understand the concept of mandatory challenger and what a final eliminator is for that matter. What we don't understand is how the hell Jo Jo Dan ever managed to get into that position given the talent and skill in the welterweight division. He was pi$$ poor. So many other mouthwatering fights could have been made and we end up with duffer Dan.
He's having trouble wondering how is a Doormat like JoJo a Mandatory challenger above other worldclass contenders and former world champions.....why is that so hard for you to grasp?
Indirectly what i see going on here is many trying to indirectly discredit Brook, Dan earned his spot, get over it, he worked his way up to No.1 He`s been a nightmare for his opponents with awkward frenetic style. What was Brook suppose to do Drop his Belt???????? NO! he fought his no.1 challenger and did what he had to do. This is not the 1st time a champ has bashed his challenger geeez it happens. If it were Porter bashing Dan i bet you there would be a different vibe. Double standards for bitter assholes Adios
Im not blaming Brook, but dan shoudlnt be a mandatory for a title, I dont get how it happened but it shouldnt be the way.
Im not i think Brook is legit....but im questioning the IBF, you say Dan earned his way up the ladder how? I dont remember him shooting past Porter the former champ who hasnt had a rematch, Bradley, Thurmond, or Khan so you mean to tell me JoJo has done more than them and he is more deserving than them?
I wonder if part of it is who they can get in the ring. Like if the IBF says: Bradley is #1 in our WW rankings Great (at least it's more legit than JoJo). However what happens if Bradley decides that he has more important things to do then fight Brook in the UK? What if he decides he's a big enough name that he doesn't want to fight for the IBF belt? They probably start going down the list but all the big names will be occupied so they probably just went with someone they knew would be super psyched to have the opportunity: Jo Jo Dan or Kevin Brizier
It seems like that....if thats the case the system is beyond flawed if a guy thats a mandatory challenger can decide that this particular belt the "IBF" in this case is not good enough or the situation isnt good enough for the star contender, so basically these days we have contenders with the ability to duck champions, this is absolutely rediculous.....:-(
This exactly. A relatively physically fit lad pulled out of a club last night could have put up a more interesting s**** than did JoJo Dan.
Before slating Brook, let's remember this was a mandatory for him. I do agree though, no idea how the rankings really work to be honest...not sure anyone does. I've often suspected there is a huge tombola and they let drunks pick the names out of randomly place them on the ranking chart...
Dan was a good opponent, but Brook just looked amazing with how he dominated and won. Dan has fast combinations a high workrate. Brook looked like the Special one
