Not a perfect stoppage but lets be honest id much rather have that than a ruined fighter, still a good stoppage.

i would have loved to see the fight go on longer but if im being honest with my self i think it was the right decision buy the ref which i dont say all that often ,,, the funny thing was i had alvarado ahead thought he was out boxing rios but got drawn in to trading shots ,,, would love to see a remactch best fight by a country mile from last night out shun the "main event" whch was a bit of let down :-(

It was a good stoppage because Rios wasn't exhausted and was lining Alvarado up with tremendous precision. He was one or two left hook, right hand combinations away from a mat nap.:bbb

Very good stoppage. There was no more fight left in him. People can be so stupid that they would rather see someone seriously hurt.

From where I was sitting it was a very good stoppage. Alvarado did look like he was out on his feet.

Nothing wrong with the stoppage. If anything I think we all just wanted to see more of that tremendous battle.
Rios just seemed to have more left in the tank at that point and that was the difference.

I honestly thought it was a good stoppage. Alvarado was out and was not defending himself. Damn you ppl really want alvarado to be ruined badly in that ring?

They robbed Rios of a Youtube moment.

It appeared like Alvarado was glancing at the ref anyway. Usually that's a sign, that a fighter wants the fight stopped, regardless of what he may say afterwards.

Alvardo wanted it stopped, it looked like to me. Of course, then he had to do the obligatory (mild) protest.
