I remember when the Jackal was a debuting prospect as though it were just yesterday.

Even madder is that he was a few years older when he did than was Darren Barker when he retired.

 

I'd be sure to make time for a rematch between them a year or two down the line.

Bit of size disparity innit

6′0½″ vs. 5'9" but I'd easily believe they had at least another inch separating them.

 

10-8 Frankham... big lean southpaw, fit enough above the waist anyway (but with long chicken legs; he'll be wanting to beef those up), got a bit messy/overeager after dropping Sumner but that can be down to greenness. He's only 20, and 2-0 so far. Hasn't registered a stoppage yet, seems like he's keen to.

 

20-17 Frankham.

As prospects go, I'd grade him...eh, B-ish. He's boxing fine, but not mind-blowing for his experience level.

 

30-26 Frankham ...not a spotless performance, as Sumner has lobbed in a few overhand rights on the backfoot, landing clean on the button.

 

Clean sweep... loads of room for improvement should he want to have much success.

 

Scored by referee Lee Emory 40-35 in favor of Frankham, unsurprisingly.

 

Levi honest and self-critical in his post-fight interview, says he ought to have kept his gloves up more. He acknowledges that he's the least seasoned of his family and is looking to soak up knowledge from the rest (his cousins Josh and Charles, both 22, are currently unbeaten prospects as well, both with more time spent in the amateurs)
