It is probably the country w/ most number of reigning titleholders currently.
Sonsona now joins an elite list of world champions with Filipino lineage, joining the likes of light welterweight king Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, minimumweight titlist Donny Nietes, fellow super flyweight ruler Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire and light flyweight king Brian “The Hawaiian Punch” Viloria.

Manny Pacquioa should be given credit for inspiring Filipino fighters to excel in international competitions.

    More to come! :good:good:good:good:happy:happy:happy:happy:happy

It is such a great achievement. Very nice :thumbsup.

I see Cuba being the next country to rise, but don't forget about Panama, a country with somewhat overlooked champs like Guillermo Jones, Anselmo Moreno, Celestino Caballero, Nehomar Cermeno and introducing Luis Concepcion, who might have a very bright future.

Boxing is dying yeah... well, it's not. :happy

Up until recently, Panama had Cordoba as well. Damn nice little boxing country there- I wonder how much influence Duran had in getting kids to fight there?
