imagine mexico being in asia and philippines being near the US border. i believe location must have something to do with it y'know? just look at our asian counterparts jap and thailand. they have had several world champs that nobody ever gives a **** about. and to think that whenever they have belts, they make sure to hold it for a looong time btw, you should also take into consideration decisions on mex phil fights. watch montiel-gorres
I hope Calderon gets his stuff together or the Pinoy will have a 5th champion and leave us Ricans with only 4 lol.
u can fault pinoys for claiming him as their own. after all, it's viloria who comes to the philippines and announce his pride of "being filipino".
True. Hes like the Fernando Vargas of the filipines. Born in the US but very prideful of his heritage.
I'd like to see Filipinos (besides Pacquiao) or Filipino-Americans fighting in the lightweight, jww, or welterweight division. A lot of these Filipinos are fighting in divisions that no one gives a damn about such as the flyweight, bantamweight divisions. I don't like watching tooth-picks figh each other, and I don't get it. I see Filipino's that are 6'0 that weigh 170lbs, at least some of them can make JWW.
