to be fair, i think pinoy boxing is on the upswing and they have made significant strides in the last couple of years they are light years away from american, puerto rican and mexican boxing. including brian viloria, they've got four world champions which still dwarfs the united states and mexico. so far, the mexico/philippines rivalry has been one sided in favor of mexico 43-21-2 and i really don't see the philippines gaining ground any time soon! additionally, philippine boxing also cannot be remotely compared to puerto rican and american boxing as well.
Boxing in the Phillipines is on a little high right now, but I can't believe the TS thought 5 world champions would be more than any other country. I guess since many Pinoys did not get into boxing until Pacquiao, I should expect they know less, but really that's no excuse for the repeated stupidity of all things boxing. I'm 28. Never followed the sport that intensely until the last few 3 or 4 years and I know a lot more than any of them.
actually the philppines has three world champions in which two are american citizens. donnie nietes brian viloria - born in hawaii marvin sonsona nonito donaire only hold a super flyweight (Interim) title - does not count. manny pacquiao holds an IBA Jr. Welter title which most people DO NOT recognize. also holds the Ring Title Belt which most people DO NOT recognize because it's only a magazine backed title. Total champions - 3 2 born in the philippines 1 born in the u.s.a.
and speaking of marvin sonsona, he's got many tough challengers for his WBO title like: rafael concepcion jorge arce hugo cazares and z gorres just to name a few. even though he beat a very old fighter in jose lopez it's going to be interesting if he can beat any of these more experienced fighters.
Thats his ethnicity..but he was born in the U.S, learnt his craft there and has represented America ever since he has been boxing. Hence thats his nationality. Filos should be proud of Viloria but to claim him as there own is a stretch. Ive known for a long time Brian was filo...but Im wondering when he started making a point of it. Because I clearly remember when he scored a couple of knock outs early in his career he used to get up on the corner post and do a Hawaian dance. In fact I seem to remember some people having a cry because he wasnt embracing his pinoy heritage...No offence but I wouldnt be surprised if some of his new found pride was a marketing ploy.
Go tell this shite to someone who gives a fuk what you say. You are lucky Scar even spoke to you, and you think you are tough lol... You're just another moron I exlaxed on in the past who is still angry with me like Scat, Snell, Babality, Lance and the rest of you unrespected degenerates who can't talk boxing.
She isn't white, and if she was, so what lol... Another clown I embarrassed a long time ago who has never fogotten over the verbal ass whooping I gave him lol.
Yup, they not only have these current champs, but also the P4P#1 right now. Pretty impressive being insignificant:hey
Excuse me for forgetting that, but can u be a bit more specific.... maybe links?? BTW , if she's not white, then maybe she's been in an anti-oven for a loooooooooooooooooong time!!!
