The Kirkland-Molina fight is a good example of a **** referee all round.

I do understand this point of view, I think most people were disappointed a Kirkland fight turned out to be pretty boring, and Molina still had success when he let his hands go so I can understand it being frustrating to watch.

But what he was doing was effective there's no denying that, and whether Kirkland was out of sorts or not, his offence was almost completely nullified. The ref probably should have warned him about the holding but he didn't and he took advantage.

Not Kirkland's fault of course, I do hope there's a rematch because I'd have like to have seen the final 2 rounds as Kirkland had finally started to have some success. Whether he'd have finished him or Molina would have made it to the bell we won't know, but the ref robbed everyone of a proper end to the fight, Molina especially.

I agree to a large extent Baj, my issue is when it's becoming persistent holding. At times they would break then he'd go straight back into holding Kirkland. Yeah bit of holding here and there i can take but grab grab grab isn't skill and harms the sport if allowed to that extent IMO.

Kirkland should of looked to punch out but maybe felt if he did he'd be countered. It's a horrible tactic and i understand using it now and then in a round but it was numerous amounts and as fight went on head was being used. Ref just stood there like a dickhead...

Blatant and persistent holding needs to be stopped in boxing, Part of reason Kirkland couldn't get off was because he was drained from being pulled around. MMA beckons for Molina he was might good at it..

Who's his trainer now?. I agree Pea lead to Zab's downfall against Khan. He was a sitting duck for Khan.

    Just watched the Judah card.

Zab looked really sharp & was far too much for Paris. The Adamek fight was fun, he still looks vunerable & was shaken several times but he boxed well against a chubby looking Aguilera. Ive not seen Jennings before but I think he has potential, impressive performance against an old Liakhovich.

I remember the fools in the general were ready to give Whitaker trainer of the year award!

Even against mabuza he was getting caught.

With zab right now you can't teach him anything new, hell I wouldn't teach those knee dips to anyone at all.

Still coming to terms with how farcical and corrupt a night of boxing it was. The Kirkland/Molina fiasco was utterly ludicrous, and the ineptitude of the referee was truly stunning. It's actually hard to swallow. They would have done anything to make sure Kirkland won last night in texas, one scorecard even had him winning despite Molina being in charge. To stop the fight for the reason the ref did was so blatantly corrupt that it makes you wonder why you even bother watching these fights.

The Maccarinelli thing was horrendous too. I mean Germany gets a bad rep for these types of things, but American and Britain are surely on a par (if not worse) for these kind of controversies. Awful stuff.

To be fair to Zab, he did a good job.

Still has a bit in the tank.

Paris is garbage, but even I didn't expect Judah to look that good. It's not just the result, he actually looked pretty sharp. A lot of that has to do with Paris being dire, but it's promising for Zab IMO.

Zab's still a quality finisher, I was pretty surprised at how good he looked though. I thought he was going to take it(despite picking Paris in Rummy's league - I thought that the ''powers that be'' would see to it that Vernon got an Augustus-esque kind of decision) but I anticipated him being a helluva lot less sharp and a lot more pensive in the early going than that.

I'm surprised you went for Paris, where's your form man?

I only say that because I expect better seeing as you picked Mathebula to beat Ndlovu :yep.

Paris is a lazy ******* and a druggie. He's never gonna give it 100% and I think for all his natural talent his attitude will forever hold him back. Zab showed up for this one, he put the effort in and it showed with the performance.

Meh, both are mental midgets and the form of both leading into the fight differed significantly. I expected a relatively close one wherein Judah's usual fast start would only be highlighted by Paris' usual slow start, with it getting kind of messy down the stretch and the judges probably handing Paris an undeserved win at the end. I did think Judah would win - even had vCash on him:yep - but you kind of have to factor in what you think the judges will end up going for when you're looking for points. Guess I just don't have enough faith in Zabdiel nowadays.:conf

I've had a howler this week though I think. I was 8th going into the weekend, but I'm dreading the publishing of this weekend's tallies.:nonono Mathebula and Garcia aside very few fights came good for me in terms of winner and method of victory(though my Molina by SD pick WAS looking on course at one point ).
