That mindset is what baffles ma, such a large part of their culture glorifies gangster wannabes, who abuse women, break laws, like Broner yet insult Crawford for acting like a decent human being. Something messed up about your view of the world if you think like that in my opinion.

Ugghhh I get what you’re trying to express here but it’s a bit cringe worthy since your perspective is derived from wayyyy outside.

Broner represents the same percentage of terrible judgment shown by certain rock n roll fans or rave fans. Making a blanketed statement about an entire culture glorifying violence and chaos based solely on what you’ve been feed through biased propaganda isn’t very wise.

You're right I worded my post poorly because every culture at the moment as elements that seem to glorify ignorance, violence and a general lack of morality it's not just one culture but pretty much all. I clearly wasn't thinking and yes I'll admit that proproganda has likely coloured my initial judgement, I should have known better than to have responded with such a knee jerk opinion.

I'm actually a little embarrassed I posted that drivel. I can only assume sleep deprivation has addled my mind.

 

Please I’m guilty of doing the same. I’m embarrassed by some of the cultural aspects of my upbringing that get misconstrued because of individuals abusing their freedom to express individuality. Make no mistake the culture you referenced doesn’t do itself any favors with their mainstream exposure.

I have known Crawford for close to 20 years and he is by and large a great young man. Does he have people around him that sometimes have not had his best interest? Yes. Did he pull a knuckleheaded stunt when he tried to get his nephews car back? Yes. He is also the kid who went with a high school teach to Africa on several occasions to help the needy, who worked an event last week with another local sports star for young football players who cannot afford the paid football camps. He is not someone who really wants to be in front of the camera and who isn't really into being part of the pre-fight hype but he is getting better at it. He uses perceived slights by his opponents to motivate him and his responses are sometimes misinterpreted. Frankly, in his perfect world, he would just fight and not have to deal with the other stuff.

 

I'm always a sucker for good sportsmanship.
