Bud deserves to choose who he fights next

Blame Canelo for this mess. Had he fought Benevidez like he should have, Craw would have been able to fight Charlo, who he really, really, doesn't like. If Spence agrees to the rematch, surely his team would take some cash to move it up to May, and we could have had Craw vs Charlo in December. But NOOOOOOO, Canelo has to pick a guy who will move up TWO divisions.

Whether we like it or not, Craw is legally tied to the rematch if spence and his team force it on him. Otherwise, he loses belts. He will make another $20 million for a fight that NOBODY wants, then he can maybe fight Charlo next year then pack it in. I heard him say in an interview that he'd fight CHarlo then retire.

 

I'd watch a rematch with spence at 154. That way we can get the weight drain excuse out of the way.

 

Spence is likely even more damaged goods from that beating, so 154 might not be a good win either.

 

Bud is P4P#1, but he needs to fight his mandos or vacate!

 

It's a good question. Personally I'd like to see Charlo just admit he's not coming back to 154 so that the belts become vacant.

Although he may not be ready yet, I think Crawford vs Boots is the toughest fight he can make. Won't happen, tho.

 

Yeah Canelo most likely will do to Charlo what he did to Plant in both ways making the next guy who beats either of them feel much less of an accomplishment, eg: Benavidez defeating Plant.
