Charlo would be a much bigger fight and more legacy defining I agree with Crawford, no point in fighting boots right now
we wont see bud vs anybody not unified either. unless its spence. Hope it doesnt happen. Might get a teddy reid vs emiliano valdez repeat.
Crawford has done what he came to do. The Spence fight put him in rare airspace. He don't have to bow down to mandatories because he's the man, titles or not. Whoever he fights at 147 will be his choice. If he chooses to re-match Spence and then go after the Charlo's, that's his prerogative. He took himself outta the grind, he is going for legacy now.
Yeah but due to the WBO ruling, he now will not be able to challenge Charlo for Undisputed. One would think that Bud would be less interested in fighting Jermell if it's not for Undisputed.
When he beats Boots, you guys that were boosting him up will say he wasn't ready, he was too young & was too inexperienced. You'll continue to push the goal post. I wanna see the fight for stylistically & entertainment reasons - but I won't use it as a measuring stick for Bud's greatness, as this fight does nothing for his legacy or achievements.
I am in agreement with this! Though I'm a Boots fan and feel he is ready to rule the WW division, you are right: there is one exception Terrence 'Bud' Crawford. I have been saying for a while now that Boots needs 2 GOOD fights, proving a worthy challenger to be added to Bud's legacy, as you mentioned, before facing Crawford. He's gotta get Staniosis plus someone else that will give Boots some good work because he has several stylistic things to work on, imo. He needs more polish before he gets in the ring with a monster like Bud. When I picture them fighting right now, it doesn't look good for Ennis.
