    42 fights
    0 splits
    0 majority/draws

All KO or UD. Not an official knockdown suffered either though one can argue Mean Machine got him. No judge has ever scored a fight for his opponent or a draw.

How many boxers have longer streaks than this?

Extremely impressive feat but tempered by the fact that is seems like a majority of big fights have at least one judge who has been put there to attempt to pull of a screw job.

So he's been as lucky as he has good.

But no disrespect. Bud deserves any praise we can give him.

Has there been any fight close enough where you can argue his opponent won? His closest fights were his last 2 but Madrimov most he won was 5 and probably same with Canelo. It's hard to see a draw for either and a winning scorecard is not possible IMO

What was his closest fight before those 2? Ricky Burns? He showed great heart but at best was within 3-4 points

No idea, but Felix Sturm and Gave Rosado has 9 SD/MD each.

Roy Jones was 48-1 before the Tarver MD. There are actually quite a few champions who went roughly 40 fights before their first SD/MD. Seems like its purely a numbers game, and eventually everyone encounters such scorecards. Ricardo Lopez only had one SD, and that was in his 48th career fight.

Technically speaking, Jimmy Barry never had a SD/MD. :eusa_whistle:

Shawn Porter was the closest fight on the cards, as he was behind by a round on two judges scorecards. Coulda, shoulda, woulda - but had he not turned up the heat then he might have seen a SD/MD.

He was up on all 3 scorecards and that obviously doesn't include the 10th round where if there wasn't a stoppage, Porter suffered 2 knockdowns.

Wtf? Boxrec has it: Max DeLuca 87-84 Dave Moretti 86-85 Steve Weisfeld 86-85
Lol, someone has made a little error somewhere.

Still, the closest fight of his career, not that it really matters because the fight ended in the 10th. Hence the "coulda, shoulda, would" comment from me earlier.

I've heard the only longer fighter ever was Sonny Liston. It was said he was so long he needed a special sock to allow the tip to rest by his ankle bone.

Yeah but he does have three losses.

His longest streak of only UD and KO wins was 28-0, before Wilder I.

Oh, I didn´t realize that a loss was the cutoff here. I thought we were strictly talking about guys who never had a fight end in SD or MD, because there are very few of such careers.

I assume Chitown was inspired by a tweet going around which specifies Bud having the longest win streak of UD and KO.

So yeah, a draw, loss, MD/SD win, or I guess even a NC would exclude you.
