He could have replaced Terrell or Ellis

Terrell wasn’t in the top 10 after 1967
    Ellis was ranked number 2
You are suggesting Baer replace Ellis at number 2? Ellis has wins over Quarry, Bonavena, Patterson, and Chuvalo among others. This is just a smidge better than Buddy’s CV
This is something where perhaps we shall just have to agree to disagree. You feel Buddy should be ranked higher than I do. That’s fine but I am not going to change my mind anymore than you are.
I cannot really see Buddy ranked number 2 at anything save for his order in the Baer brothers genealogy.

Might as well put together a tournament with Buddy Baer, Abe Simon

How about we stick Buddy in a tournament with: Abe Simon, Jess Willard, Tony Galento, Boone Kirkman, and Ken Lakusta. There's more than one toss-up among the potential matches that could be made here. You have Buddy coming out the winner?

Frazier would have a field day with Buddy Baer body, huge gaps to go for to the body up close.

Frazier does have one problem. He might be arrested for aggravated assault after the fight. This isn’t pretty 1 maybe 2 round slaughter.

Frazier finds those ribs very, very fast.

The greatest sin of George Foreman (rest in peace), was bringing into the ring such clever timing, such unique rhythm, and such old-school repertoire of techniques, that he convinced that world all it takes to beat Frazier is a good punch.

There you go now he’s in at his proper depth. He might actually be the favorite to win your tournament with this group. I wouldn’t rule out Kirkman as a dark horse surprise though.

B Baer Urtain is a competitive fight. Peralta out boxes him. Brian London probably good fight though think prime London out boxes him. O Halloran K Lakusta Tony Doyle Terry Daniels Scrap Iron Johnson Ron Stander Billy Walker Boone Kirkman these are guys he would have been competitive with. He d win some lose some. I wouldn’t move up to a Quarry a Leotis Martin or Jimmy Ellis in their primes or Buddy gets beat bad and KO d.

Buddy may have a revival here on the level of Saint Preem due to your efforts, my friend. You're a trendsetter.

Also the fact no one voted for Buddy here makes me sad.

Well, for the first 5 or 10 seconds anyway. After that, he will be making snow angels on the canvas for the rest of the 1st round until it's stopped, ala the Louis rematch.

I was tempted to give Buddy a sympathy vote but I couldn’t work out a way to explain the “how”.

Otherwise, to quote Kesha, “It’s going down, I’m yelling timber!”
