Who would win in this duel of two punching forces?

Wilder. While neither man was a master of the sweet science, Buddy Baer was even more crude. And Wilder was demonstrably more durable

Buddy and Galento might just have been the most open contenders I've ever seen.

Buddy also doesn't offer much in terms of movement, and footwork, so he's going to sleep early.

Buddy is too hittable, though he did have this bizarre shoulder roll in those Louis fights. Still didn't stop Louis from battering him, but I can see it having success against less fast and accurate punchers.

Can he pull this off against Wilder? Probably for a little while, but fact is that Buddy was too clumsy and hittable for him to keep that up for long, and Wilder ain't slow himself.

I honestly think Dereck Chisora might have stopped Buddy Baer early

Another vote for Wilder with the caveat that I saw only a little Buddy footage and that was a long time ago.
