    I found him to be good, but never really able to get his fighters over the hump of being good to great

    Above average trainer who focuses on the fundamentals and solid strategy. I like him.

    People criticize him a lot... but he resurrected Gatti's career and guided Tarver to the Lt. Heavyweight title.

    Buddy's the man, he's had too many shot fighters go over to him though and it's like he can't say no to a decent name no matter how past it and unsalvagable their career is.

    I think he's great. And he's had a big impact with Gatti & Tarver. He's one of the best out there.

    He's a good trainer. I like to make fun of the "have some water baby, I'm stopping it stuff" but in reality, in a lot of situations his fighters were usually just outclassed, and would lose no matter who their trainer was.
