a couple of guys on here just told me mcgirt was a good trainer and pretended i was alone in the idea that mcgirt was a cursed man lets clear this up real quick mcgirt blows as a trainer am i wrong? (come on baby drink some water baby put ur jab out baby wheres my jab baby ) profound
you didn't need to make a thread for this. No one is calling him a great trainer. But clearly he has trained some very good fighters like Gatti, Forrest, Kendall Holt, Tapia, and Tarver. That right there proves he isn't "bad" at all. And there's no way you can bash him for corner instructions. :-(
no with all respect bro i could have sworn people didn't like mcgirt and thought he was a trainer in name only i've seen threads about it i've heard people ***** maybe i'm mistaken i really aint trying to start trouble i just was mislead i guess
see you try being reasonable but the ****ing ******ed ******* can't let you what opinion did you form **** sucker? you ever boxed a match or called a match ? no your a fan getting information thats created by people who A call a match or B fight in the match so where is this originality you are coming up with wise one
He isn't as bad as has become common joke fodder. He is often in the corner of big underdogs with no real chance of winning regardless of who's providing strategic or emotional guidance. He proved to be a good trainer in the Gatti-Ward trilogy. He isn't great, though. If he was great one of his underdogs would win now and then...law of averages. He has chemistry issues with some boxers, too. Give him a good fighter that he gets along with and he does a fine job.
The concensus of this thread seems to mirror my estimation. Thats why I questioned you on the other forum.
and i said you was right on in my one post but dick face has to bash me "i never based him or you to begin with" so theres no ****ing reason to bash anybody or open his trap smh
Some of his high-profile fights have ended in defeats for his fighters, including Lamon Brewster who lost his WBO title in a rematch to Wladimir Klitschko, (IBF, WBO, Ring Magazine Heavyweight champion), Antonio Tarver who lost to Bernard Hopkins, Tomasz Adamek who lost WBC title to Chad Dawson, Paulie Malignaggi who lost to Ricky Hatton (which saw Malignaggi leave McGirt in search of a new trainer), and Arturo Gatti who was KO'd by Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Carlos Baldomir. However, McGirt has had some successes in title fights of some of his fighters. Those successes include Antonio Tarver's two victories over Roy Jones Jr, Vernon Forrest's victories over both Carlos Baldomir and Sergio Mora, and Arturo Gatti's victories over Gianluco Branco, Leonard Dorin, Jesse James Leija, and Thomas Damgaard.
just bumped about 4 or 5 threads with multiple posters calling mcgirt horrible so we can just cut the "oh you're just a noob" bull**** and face the music mcgirt sucks
