This happens to a lot of boxers. Most of the time boxers fight at weights well below their true weights. I'm kind of surprised that eating disorders are not a major issue in boxing.
This happened to me lol...Now Im getting back in the ring after ballonging 80 pounds in three years since Ive fought.
This is true. And it happens to more than just fighters too. When you're an elite level athlete for so long, you tend to spoil yourself after you retire. Staying in that shape takes a lot of sacrifice. I remember hearing Bernard Hopkins saying that he doesn't know what pizza takes like because he's never had it. That is dedication. McGirt isn't the only fighter that blew up. Have you guys seen Naseem Hamed lately? What about Fernando Vargas? I know Paul Ingle was brain damaged, but I think he's like 250+lbs and says that he desperately wants to lose the weight.
Are Hatton and Prince Naseem the only ones allowed to get fat? Heck, and they don't waste any time getting there either.
seriously, **** knows how hatton get's so fat so quick he must just sit there and eat lumps of fat and wash it down with a pint Guinness
