Loses to Carlos DeLeon Jr in the 7th round by KO. Very fun fight. DeLeon Jr down the round before and is more or less saved by the bell. DeLeon comes back and destroys McGirt Jr.

That's what he gets for not popping that jab.

It was a nasty one. Every punch DeLeon threw in that round seemed to land clean and hard. McGirt Jr at least TRIED to hold on...showed a lil moxie.

If DeLeon had McGirt's chin, and McGirt had DeLeon's snap and power, either one would be a decent fighter. As it is, neither of them are even close to world class.

    Good fight.

I must admit Showtime is putting on better, more competitive fights than HBO.

Showtime has definitely stepped their game up. I was afraid that the MMA experiement would cause them to drop their boxing quality but I'm wrong.

Santana/Lopez is a fun fight too.
