As much as I like Haugen he is nowhere near the skill level of a Buddy.

It was a competitive fight but there was only one winner.

He was very impressive avenging his previous loss to Warren. Warren hardly had a significant win ledger tho.

Camacho at 140 was nowhere near as good as at 130 and 135.

McGirt was very solid at 140 lbs

As Meldrick Taylor emphatically showed McGirt could have a lot of trouble with speed.

However prime 140 lb Taylor was much better and faster than 140 lb Camacho

I see McGirt winning a decision over Camacho.

I guess technically you're right about the Roach fight being above LW

When I think 140 lb Camacho I think post Rosario, starting with the Howard Davis fight.

The Camacho who fought Davis looked very good, but of course Howard couldn't crack too hard and I guess Camacho was unafraid of his power.

I think that Camacho would be very competitive with McGirt and his speed would be an issue for Buddy.

But any version of Camacho post Davis gets clearly outpointed by McGirt.

Camacho laid off a year after the good showing against Davis and really began to look very beatable.

Yeah i take that earlier untamed Camacho because i think he has a far better chance than the guy that ended up campaigning at 140. In my head i like his chances, i think he can likely overcome a few pounds of natural weight. That performance against Ramirez was scintillating. Of course Ramirez was a teeny bit plodding if you had great speed and movement and Buddy would be a lot more skilled and proactive on the posing questions front. Comparatively Ramirez was, lets say, far more straightforward than Buddy.

But Panchito did had some swarming skills, too bad he never became a contender for a world title.

Leaning towards Buddy for reasons that some have already stated. I think it goes the distance on close cards

He fought McGirt for the IBF 140 pound world title....the one McGirt lost to Meldrick Taylor.

You rate Warren Buddy's second best win and that's a pretty average win to have as your second best. This is what i am talking about.

I'm a big fan of Buddy he can really fight but the fact still remains his win column is well below his status and reputation as a fighter. That's my opinion and i just don't see the wins to overturn it. I'm not saying he can't fight, he had a couple of fine fine performances.

There's only two fighters in history that I'd pick to probably stop Hector Camacho at Jr. Welterweight, one, Roberto Duran who didn't fight at the weight.
    Two, Aaron Pryor.
What did they have in common? Power in both hands, quick feet, they had the ability to track and cut off Camacho, they both had relentless aggression, they had intuitive combination punching. They probably wouldn't stop Camacho by Ko. But they would give the ref no choice but to stop the fight.
Buddy Mcgirt was a counter punching savant , but he didn't possess any of the qualities to stop Camacho.
But he would do enough to beat him at 140. He'd be more aggressive.
Win a split dec in a very close fight.
