Ricky would probably beat the McGirt that was raw at 140, the one who lost to Frankie Warren - a swarming, poor man's Henry Armstrong. However the best McGirt at 140 picks Hatton apart and McGirt at 147 does so even more clearly.
I more or less agree. However, I would not make Ricky at his best THAT much of an underdog. While slick, McGirt was there to be pressured, and overrun, and Ricky could do that.
At 140 lbs, McGirt by decision At 147 lbs, McGirt by KO. Hatton has workrate and strength, but McGirt has defense and counterpunching and superior brains.
