Hiring McGirt as your trainer is about as smart as asking Teddy Atlas for advice on boxing bets!atsch
mcgirt was such a great little boxer to watch, such a shame his skills didn't translate into training. someone needs to compile a list of mcgirt fighter losses over the last 2 years, it'll be astronomical and the worst is how at least 50 percent of them are fights his guy was the favorite going in. sometimes to for some sorta forgiveness i youtube some clips of him as a fighter after one of the fighters he trains gets whupped.
When I saw McGirt was Malignaggi's trainer after the first round I immediately knew Paulie was going to lose badly. McGirt is just bad luck. (probably not a good trainer also)
I like watching Buddy's fights, I think he's possibly the worst trainer in the world right now though.
I'm asking myself why do fighters who are still world class hiring him?(Forrest,Malignaggi,Powell etc)
Most definitely. I had money riding on Hatton by stoppage because the odds were good but really, c'mon.. I felt bad for Paulie.
he is the worst trainer that makes a shitload of money at a championship level with other guys fighters...what exactly does he get paid to do...all his guys are new with him? pavlik's trainer struggled in the bhop fight but at least he develoed KP from a child to a champ
Yeah,he is a real nice guy,trains you a few years...you win a title....****s your wife...stuff like that right?:-(
