What do I need to do. This is where I stand now...

I'm a 22 year old 6'3 245 pound heavyweight with an 83 inch reach who is 7-2 in the amateur open class division. I come from Philadelphia and now reside in Las Vegas, NV. I am a former Defensive End at the division 1 level, which means yes, I to will be scrutinized as another ex-footballer hype job trying to make it in boxing. Although I believe in myself, I want to leave no stones un turned and want to make sure I just don't end up as another hype job who let's down the American people. What exactly do I need to do to differentiate myself and have people take me serious? Please..don't hold your tongue. Judge harshly and from the heart...cus I do this for you guys

Just keep working hard man. You've got good trainers, and obviously you're a good athlete, but picking up boxing late means you just need tons and tons of repetition to get to the point where the movements come naturally.

    :good Good post!!

    Brickhaus summed it up well.

You've one helluva journey ahead of you, but there are many who wish (ed) that they could have (had) the opportunity that you possess, so:

Train hard, exercise discipline, believe in yourself, and (of course), strive to be the best fighter you can possibly be.

All the very best of luck to you (Keep us posted on your progress)!

Thanks you guys... appreciate it. I've been trying my best. I'm running. I don't smoke or drink, and I try to keep up with vitamins and protein intake as much as possible. I realize I'm starting so late, but I'm listening to my heart. Thanks Brick and Dub for your insight!

Good luck man. Suggestion, call Teddy Atlas and tell him he's a *****. He'll then pick against you all the time and you'll have a long a prosperous career!

Good luck man. From that pad work I would say you could be lighter on your feet and you tend to reach out a little to land that right hand. But, you got some awesome trainers best chance in the world to do something with your life.

Thank you very much. I will try to fix that when I'm in the gym tommorow. Lighter on my feet and don't reach for that right hand. Got it! Thanks again!
