He needs to stop fighting. I really dont want to see him on CBS in 10 years being interviewed and held up as an example of pugilistic dementia
Would you rather him have been carried out of the ring? Only Evander knows how bad the cut was but I'm glad tha a man who has served the sport so well can at least leave with some of his marbles in tact. For those who expected something different from tonight's PPV I'd have to questions your sense. You talking about an ancient, all but washed up HOF'er against a can. Did you tune in expecting Holyfield - Bowe 1? We've all been calling for him to quit for years now. When fights like this are put on, the outcomes are not in the least surprising.
I never saw a drip of blood, could not see? Are you even able to see yourself? It was a shitty little nick, he has fought with far worse cuts in the past. Use your head......
yeah I think you're the one that needs to tell yourself that because they stopped it before the cut got serious it's fuxking obvious dumbass
While I agree that he knowingly forced the doctor's hand by loudly blurting out that he couldn't see, I don't necessarily agree with calling it bitching out. Yes, Williams landed some bombs on him but there was nothing of any real importance on the line here (**** the WBF). If Holyfield wanted to call mulligan, it's his prerogative. He's given the sport enough to get one free pass. If he takes this as a cue to retire and stay gone, this should be looked at as a way of saving his fans the agony of watching him go out in an even worse way. That's not bitching out, IMO.
Exactly. I dont think he really deserves much criticism for that. Yes he looked for an out, but it kind of like Castillo quitting in the Gomez fight. Not all fighter can get away with that behavior, but Evander has earned it. But, at the same time he shouldnt fight anymore. Its not fair to himself or the fans that are paying at this point.
and he said he wanna fight the klit bros. hang up the gloves now. if u need money, you can ask foreman for any advise.
Did you see him struggle to see? I saw no blood, which is why I asked you, but you shortened my post down. I don't appreciate that act to suit your shitty agenda.
I remember Hasim Rahman ended up getting a title shot against Wladimir after he pulled a similar quit job against Toney in 2008.
