The judges were for Berto, no doubt about it. Even Harold Ledermann had Collazo winning that fight, so did Berto's father, who yelled that he need a knockout to win the fight. 116-111? Criminal judges.
My point is that everyone is busy screaming robbery when there were other things to be angry about...that was bull****. The ref made this fight really ugly and hard to judge. Berto is really good at teeing off from a hold. He did it against Forbes and I guess planned on doing it against Collazo too...but that **** changed really quick. I still think Berto is a hype-job and far too green for anything big time. But I think it was the ref that made this all too weird. First deducting points for holding, while Collazo was hitting in the same hold. At the same token allowing more holding over the course of the fight from Berto while not keeping the consistent rule of "no holding"... It was all too weird for me. The ref. That dumbass judge. Collazo thinking he was Roy Jones in there with his hands down...all too weird
theres no crying in boxing..if youre the challenger and fighting an undfeated champ...you better do more than what he did.... but if you leave it up to the judges then you cant complain if its close
