It's a tough situation where if he kept boxing Cunningham it could have ended fairly close on the cards, Fury was clearly not in a mood especially in Cunninghams hometown to try and get a points decision if it was anything but WIDE. Yes lost the plot a little and then decided he'd go after a man who's never been stopped before, risky tactic but worked a treat. Both tooks some bombs in that fight.
A decent amount of people had Cunningham uo before the stoppage. It was the first time Fury fought another slickster and the knockdown made it worse. He probably needed to engage
Well, he didn't box from the off. He was engaging from the off and he wasn't doing it in a measured way. If he boxed from the off with a clear mind, it would likely have been a near shut out.
Fury was both pressuring and boxing in spots during the first round. His reckless agression is what got him dropped but he tried to keep the fight at range right after the knockdown in round 2 and didn't have much success imo. After that Fury just decided to use educated pressure and utilize his size advantage by manhandling him. He had difficulty pinning Cunningham down at first but he eventually wore him down
